Dental Technology

Advanced technology can change our everyday lives, and the field of dentistry is constantly evolving and improving to better serve your needs. At the offices of Hill and Schneidmiller, we are proud to offer an array of tools and technologies that can improve your experience at the dentist.

Root Canal Technology

When your tooth becomes infected, a root canal may be necessary. With our modern technology, however, root canals can be a relatively easy procedure. We want to save your tooth, and cleaning your root canals with our advanced tools and technology can be the best way to do that.

Rotary Instruments

By using these powerful tools, we can perform root canal therapy more quickly and efficiently. The tips of these electric hand instruments are made of nickel titanium, which means that they’re vastly more flexible than stainless steel. The tools use a slow and steady motion to make the root canal procedure faster and gentler.

Apex Locator

The apex locator allows us to determine the length of the root canal. With this device, we no longer need to solely rely on X-rays. Instead, we can accurately and precisely determine the size and depth of the channel through which the nerve travels in your tooth, helping us to thoroughly clean, shape, and fill the canal to the very end of the root.

BIO Ceramic Sealer

After we clean your tooth’s roots we seal them so that further infection cannot occur. We use the Bio-Ceramic Sealer because its nanoparticle size means that it can easily flow into your root canals, even if they are irregular in size. It’s also biocompatible, which means that it’s less likely to be rejected by the tissues surrounding your tooth. Finally, this bioceramic sealer contains calcium phosphate, which improves the sealer-to-root dentin bonding.

Endodontic Imaging Mode for the 3D Family

The endodontic imaging mode gives us the capacity to visualize the minute details of your tooth, leading to better and more efficient root canal procedures. It’s also noise-free, and the images we can capture are clearer than ever, allowing us to get a detailed picture of your tooth.

Going to the dentist doesn’t have to be a trial, thanks to today’s modern technology. If you have questions about our technology or any of our procedures, please give us a call today!
